GuideInstall Git and Claude Code
The setup guide to get through before any of the agent and skill builds make sense.
Before you can start installing custom agents or skills, you’ll need two things on your computer: Git, which lets you download the files from GitHub, and Claude Code, which lets you run Claude from your Terminal.
Install Git
macOS:
xcode-select --install
Windows — run in PowerShell or Command Prompt:
winget install --id Git.Git -e --source winget
Ubuntu or Debian Linux:
sudo apt update && sudo apt install git -y
Once it’s installed, check that it works:
git --version
Install Claude Code
macOS, Linux or WSL:
curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash
Windows PowerShell:
irm https://claude.ai/install.ps1 | iex
Then check the installation:
claude --version
Start Claude Code for the first time by running:
claude
Claude will open a browser window and ask you to sign in.
Now you’re ready to turn Claude Code into a full agency 👇🏼
